Yesterday I went to meet Sian and Dave for their engagement shoot and I was really excited about it. Here in South Wales we're spoilt for choice with amazing scenery and beautiful landscapes. I offer free engagement shoots with all my packages and I think its a great way to hang out and spend time with everyone. My main goal is for you to feel like your friend is with you and not a photographer you hardly know. It's a pretty special day so I couldn't think of doing it any other way.
Life behind the lens...
We have a puppy, her name is Coco! She's soo cute but also hard work. Living next to the beach it's ideal for dogs. We take her for walks on Barry Island beach everyday and shes a real attention seeker.
As for Becky and I our wedding plans are slowly coming along for the big day in July. We've had a busy few months settling into our new house and I've also started my Ma in documentary photography which has been really exciting. Becky is excited to have her first fitting for her wedding dress with Rachel Burgess in Penarth this Friday and I still need to find my suit. I haven't looked at any so I should probably sort that out. I'm also taking more bookings for my family portrait project over at www.chrispaulportraits.com. I'm trying to take a bit of a different approach with family portraits a more documentary less formal way.
We'll also be at cwtch fest next sun in St fagans so if you're about and want to stop by for a chat come say hello. It's really chill and we always love going. We love that Maria puts it together in a way so that its got that indie festival vibe. All the suppliers are great and we love catching up with everyone. It's a great place to meet wedding photographers, videographers, hair and makeup, pretty much everything to do with weddings. It's important to hang out before the wedding day, choosing a photographer is not a quick decision. We had a blast in Brecon on this engagement shoot.
