Back at it today with the lovely Rachel and Richard for their very special Gelillifawr wedding. I’ve been looking forward to this one for ages and what a day it’s been so far. It’s been a bit of a crazy month with a lot of weddings and also the weather being very sparatic. I know that what ever the weather that this day is going to be super fun. If I wasn’t so busy I would have stuck around for a few days after to hopefully ride some waves but I have too many weddings on. Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice reason to be unable to hang out for a surf and I don’t think the waves are looking particularly great anyway.

We are super lucky in south wales to have all of this stunning coast line jam packed with venues like St Donats. I’ve had an absolute blast today and it’s so nice to be surrounded by so many happy people to share in Rachel and Rhys’ big day.

This part of South Wales holds a lot of memories for me as I grew up here in Barry and used to come up to this area all the time with my Dad when I was younger. I still walk the dog up here now. It’s great to see so many happy people come from so far away. From London, Cornwall, and even Sweden ! More smiles that you shake a stick at and more laughter then you can, um, also shake a stick at? Kate and Andrew really have smashed it out of the park with their laid back vibes and planning. They’ve kept with a DIY ethos, the ceremony was in a church in Wenvoe, which is just outside of Cardiff, followed by the reception at their family’s farm ( sheep and solar) down the road in the Vale of Glamorgan.
